“I worked as a data entry operator for Sears,” Sierra said about her background.
“I worked in the bankruptcy department, and I also managed a Hardy’s fast-food restaurant. I was one of the people who introduced fried chicken to all of the Hardy’s restaurants. I used to go around and show people how to cook it. I stopped working while I was married, and when I got divorced, I got back to managing Hardy’s. I used to wear those little shirts, and I had guys coming in all the time and talking about my tits.
“When my husband and I first got married, we moved to Kansas. But I really hated Kansas and we went back to Atlanta. And at that time, I started realizing I was pretty, and then I saw all these strip clubs and I thought it would be kind of cool to strip and have guys pay to see my body. I told my husband about it and he told me a lot of nasty things go on in those clubs, so I was afraid to do it. And then I threw him out because he drank too much. And when he left, I also lost my job.
“I had a hard time finding another job, and a strip club opened down the street from my house. I got hired there as a waitress. When I got there, the manager said, ‘I know we hired you to be a waitress, but we really need dancers.’ I had never worn a pair of heels before. I didn’t even have a piece of lingerie in my closet, but I really needed money. I had no husband, lots of bills to pay, and I said, ‘What the hell, I’ll just try it. If I don’t like it, I’ll never do it again.’
“I got some lingerie from K-Mart and some two-inch heels. I got up there and made a thousand dollars the first night. I was shaking so bad, I thought I was going to fall off the stage. But I made a thousand dollars the first night and I thought, ‘Okay, I can keep doing this,’ but it took me six months before I was able to do my first table dance. I was too nervous.”
