Penelope Had Some Major Pumpkins
Penelope Pumpkins left the strip club stage for the professional kitchen. In the 1990s, SCORE correspondents and editors would often see her at the Las Vegas adult expos. She had a website that is no longer active.
“I studied dance ever since I was a little girl,” Penelope told columnist Luke Ford in 2002. “I put my way through culinary school and became a chef, but I wanted more for myself. My girlfriend and I went to Mexico on vacation and I met an old friend of mine who was also a dancer. I went to visit her in Arizona and she took me to a club called Tiffany’s. I never knew what a feature was. I saw a show and said to myself, ‘If she can do that, I can.’ I used to tour seven, eight months a year. I lived on the road. You get tired of it. I was known for my shows. I had $45,000 worth of costumes.”
