A Lisa Phillips Album

This album of Lisa Phillips photos was shot in July, 1988 on the grounds and the beach at Tropical House’s 20-acre estate on Great Exuma Cay, The Bahamas.

“The minute Lisa took off her blouse, both I and photographer John Graham were stunned,” TSG founder John Fox remembered. A sight like that is a sight that a guy would never forget.

The biggest challenge was trying to prevent the barely-18, pale-skinned Irish lass from getting sunburnt under the tropical sun. To this day, we warn models visiting SCORE to be careful not to spend too much time on the beach or risk their skin turning a painful red.

Ava Lustra ’99

Ava Lustra is a three-time SCORE magazine cover girl: May 1995, August 1995 (with Kayla Kupcakes) and January 1996 in a multi-girl cover shot taken in The Bahamas with Angelique, Whitney Wonders, Teresa, Olivia and Jordan St. James.

This photo shoot, lensed in Florida, was produced five years after her SCORE debut, which was shot in London. The make-up, lighting and styling are very different compared to her original scenes. Ava almost looks like another woman. Photographers, much more than clothing, make the woman.

A SCORE Group editor met Ava at an adult website convention called Interactive 2000 in Las Vegas. Photos did not do Ava justice. She was not dressed to show off her cleavage but to show her sexy legs. The bright, blond hair was darker. Ava’s shapely legs and feet really were her best features, and in fact, she posed for more leg shoots.

Ava Lustra: The Bed Was Her Stage

Back in the day, savvy exotic dancers saw the value of shooting magazine pictorials as a way to put their names out there. Of course, magazine modeling was a good source of extra income too. Ambitious models and strippers were not lazy back then.

Being featured in a magazine spread or, even better, becoming a covergirl, let the general club-going public know who the girl was. Many of the girls set up tables with magazines, videos and instant photos for sale at the clubs when they were not on stage. If you visited clubs to see feature dancers back then, you know exactly what we mean.

Ava Lustra and Kayla Kupcakes shared a cover and a girl-girl layout in the August 1995 issue of SCORE. They also shared a similar Vegas showgirl look: big, blond hair, a slim, curvy body and big tits.

Ava appeared in a few hardcore scenes with studs in the 1990s while Kayla waited until the mid-2000s to try XXX, and when she did, after we had asked her for years, she took it on like she was making up for lost time.

Top Poppin’ Toppsy Curvey

In the early 1990s, Toppsy Curvey was making headlines in the sports section of the newspapers because she was chasing baseball players around the diamond trying to score a kiss.

Of Greek-American ancestry, billed at 97ZZZ-24-32 (and at other times 95FFF), Toppsy dubbed herself “The Kissing Babe,” and patterned her baseball hobby after Morganna, “The Kissing Bandit.”

Did Toppsy compare herself to the famous Kissing Bandit?

“I wouldn’t say Kissing Bandit,” said Toppsy. “The kiss of luck. I think any pitcher who gets kissed by me should consider himself lucky.”

“The kiss of death,” New York Post sports columnist Steve Serby once called it.

“I try to do it usually right after the National Anthem, so I don’t disrupt the game,” Toppsy said.

Baseball manager Stump Merrill, who knew Morganna, had his say on the hobby of “strippers running onto the playing field” thing. He didn’t think it was funny. “She’s somebody’s daughter. If it was mine, I’d kick her rear end. That doesn’t mean she’s not a good kid. She had no business coming out onto the field. You want to cause a scene, take your top down in Central Park, or go to a strip joint.”

Toppsy hung up her giant bras not long after her final pictorial appeared in April ’96 SCORE. She stopped traveling from city to city and was dancing at two Massachusetts clubs, The Naked Eye and Mac’s Two Lounge, until she quit for good.

Today, exotic dancers running onto the baseball diamond is sadly a thing of the past.

Tawny Peaks’ First SCORE Pictorial

This pictorial of Tawny Peaks was published in July 1993 SCORE. Dave Anthony was the photographer. The layout included an interview conducted by another SCORE Girl, Montana.

“I had the pleasure of meeting Tawny when we were both in Sanibel Island, Florida shooting photo layouts for SCORE,” Montana wrote. “We became instant friends.”

The girls talked about how Tawny was discovered, what she likes to do on-stage, her fantasies and how people react to her when they see her mega-breasts.

“I usually do four shows a day, sometimes five,” Tawny said. “But I’ve been known to hang out at a club all day just because I love meeting new people.”

During the mega-busty years at strip clubs, getting an instant photo with the feature dancers was a tradition for many guys. Tawny took thousands of signed photos over the years. We wonder how many fans saved them.

About two years later, I found his number and gave him a call.”
