I never knew what a feature was. I saw a show and said to myself, ‘If she can do that, I can.’ I used to tour seven, eight months a year. I lived on the road. You get tired of it. I was known for my shows. I had $45,000 worth of costumes.”

Born in Dallas, Texas, Bodacious Babbette spoke with a Texas twang. She first called herself Babbette Amore, then removed the Amore surname and added “Bodacious.” She also called herself Betsy Boobs.
