You see, I don’t hate what I’m doing. I think that’s the difference. A lot of people hate their job but I love dancing so that keeps me occupied and satisfied. Maybe that’s because I’m also very religious. I have tremendous faith in God. I read the Bible all the time. I’m strictly into my dancing and that’s not really a conflict with my religion.”

As late as 2009, Lilli was dancing at a club called The Tropical Lei in Upland, California, known for its seedy ambience (“Camp here. We pitch tents” read one of its signs.)
