Beverlee Hills: Strippers’ Rights Advocate
Beverlee Hills began her career in hardcore adult films in 1982 as Gina Gianetti in the now-classic movie Titillation starring Kitten Natividad in a non-sex role. Other hardcore roles followed. When super-huge boobs became popular on the strip club circuit and in big-bust magazines, Gina changed her name to Beverlee Hills and got herself giant tits.
Beverlee was involved in a landmark 1991 court case, Michael Barnes vs. Glen Theater, that resulted in the US Supreme Court striking down the State of Indiana’s 1988 public decency law. Darlene Miller, a dancer at the Kitty Kat Lounge, and Beverlee at the Glen Theatre, both in South Bend, Indiana, wanted to dance nude. The Kitty Kat Lounge, Glen Theatre and the dancers sued the state in federal district court, arguing Indiana’s public nudity statute violated their First Amendment right to freedom of expression, including the right to nude, erotic dancing.
Beverlee later appeared on the Phil Donahue TV show discussing the legal rights of exotic dancers and strip clubs.
The life-lesson here: don’t mess with strippers.
